in the last weekThe biryani was fantastic - came with salad and a variety of condiments. I'm no biryani expert, so I'm not sure I'm qualified for critical review, but my 2yr old couldn't stop shoveling it into his face, and that doesn't happen often.

in the last weekWent there today after it was reopened under new management. I have to say Launceston finally has a great biriyani place. Great flavor, customer service and location. Can't wait to try more from the new chef. Parking can be tricky.

a month agoLast year we visited the Salt & Chilli restaurant during our trip to Tasmania, because we wanted to try some Sri Lankan food. It turned out to be a great choice. We ordered the Roast Chicken Kottu, the Hot & Spicy Mixed Fried Rice, and the Hot & Crispy Calamari. Everything was tasty and felt like proper comfort food. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the location was super convenient. A solid option if you’re looking to try Sri Lankan flavours in the area.
