in the last weekHad a very disappointing experience with Transco Cargo recently. The process at the Melbourne (Dandenong) warehouse was actually very smooth. The staff at the warehouse office were helpful, explained everything clearly, and provided all documents and emails on time. No issues at all on that side. However, once the cargo arrived in Sri Lanka, the experience became extremely poor. The contact numbers listed on the Bill of Lading (Sri Lankan numbers) were not working at all. After finally managing to get in touch, they only informed me that the cargo had arrived and was in the clearing process this was already after the ETA. Then there was no communication for an entire week. When I followed up again, they said the cargo had already reached the Wattala warehouse. They never informed us proactively—we had to keep chasing them for updates. When we went to the Wattala warehouse, they told us we needed an appointment to collect the cargo. After a long discussion, they asked us to come the next day because the customs officer was not there that day. This shows a complete lack of planning and customer care. The next day, we arrived at 9:00 AM and had to wait until 2:30 PM just to have the box opened. During the inspection, I was on a video call and saw how carelessly the items were handled. They were placed roughly on a mat and treated with no respect, almost like they had no value. The staff were also argumentative and unprofessional. To make things worse, my friend who shipped on the same date is still waiting for clearance from the Wattala warehouse and has been told to come on the 16th of April, while mine was cleared on the 7th. There is clearly no consistency or proper system. Overall, the Sri Lanka side especially the Wattala warehouse has extremely poor customer service, lack of communication, and very unprofessional handling of goods. Very disappointing experience. Would not recommend to anyone.

a month agoI sent several boxes through this company, but now I cannot contact the Sri Lankan office. I have tried many times and received no response. This is very disappointing and unprofessional. At the moment, the company appears unreliable. I hope they will contact me soon and resolve this issue.

3 months agoExtremely disappointing experience. After payment, delivery has been delayed for months with repeated claims that goods remain at port awaiting unloading. The tracking system updates with a new estimated date weekly, making it impossible to plan or rely on their commitments. I cannot recommend this service.
