My husband took me here for my birthday - our first time. As a Sri Lankan who is used to excellent Sri Lankan food, the food is not Sri Lankan at all. The owner has taken her Sri Lankan heritage and used it as a marketing strategy. We ordered lamb ribs (we do not eat lamb in Sri Lanka), black pork curry, and basmati rice with coconut sambol - no drinks. Our total bill came to $82 for just that. I was astounded at the cost compared to the portion size (tiny). The black pork curry was not at all authentiic (was not black! They did not use the essential goraka fruit to cook with), the food was not spicy at all (our food is normally high in chilli levels) however the coconut sambol was nice but not spicy. We also do not eat basmati rice in Sri Lanka (this is an Indian/Pakistani rice). I also noticed that there was no ethnic diversity among the clientele, especially there were no south Asians there. This is a strong indicater of authenticity and deliciousness of the food. The atmosphere was too loud so i could not hear my husband when ge was speaking to me. The service was good but for me it is more important to have tasty food than good customer service.

The food was okay, tasty yes value no. Portion size small so therefore would need extra dishes making the meal cost expensive!

I had a wonderful experience at Ella. The waitress wearing black glasses with short blonde curly hair was incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful. The muscular male waiter was also very kind and provided excellent service. They both made us feel very welcome and made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Ella!
