Loku is a cozy gem in Northcote, revered for its elevated home-style Sri Lankan dishes bursting with rich, nostalgic flavors. Guests recommend standout menu items like the crispy roast paan, scallops, chicken lamprais, and black pork curry. The attentive service and open kitchen add to the intimate and warm dining experience. While the interior can be cool, the friendly hospitality and mouthwatering food more than make up for it. A fantastic spot for those seeking authentic Sri Lankan specialties in an inviting setting.

in the last weekServed a drink that was flat, refused refund. Food was average at best & too spicy, egg was overcooked to the point it had a grey yoke. We asked for very mild but the meals were too hot for us to eat.

a month agoLoku has an awesome range of Sri Lankan dishes. We really enjoyed the Lamprais (with Lamb), Burger (Specials menu item), Roast Paan and Fish Roll - and the store/location has a great vibe. However, it was Hishani (the hostess) who made the evening a great experience! Though Hishani was working alone on a busy Saturday evening, she was friendly, professional, always smiling and happy to help. Highly appreciated! :-)

a month agoNot value for money. Jackfruit curry in coconut cream (cost $30), taste was like cardboard, look was unappealing. Had to buy rice separately ($7 small bowl). Other food was marginally good. Service was okay. Atmosphere was good, only 2 tables were occupied.
