The Prince of Yazh

With its cosy warm atmosphere, this is a laid-back restaurant that lets the food do the talking! I'm thinking about the flavours I tasted in there long after I left. The prawn curry is a must have, so are the hoppers! Very hard to find a place that so generously and effortlessly delivers a basket of these crispy golden goodies to your table as if straight out of Sri Lanka. The eggplant curry and sambal are not for the faint of heart 🌶️🌶️🌶️but both are packed with a flavourful aromatic mouth numbing kick that deserves a mention. We also loved the cardamom tea, the perfect beverage for a cold Melbourne winter night!

Went here with a group and selected the feed me option. All the food was incredible and we all left very full

Very slow service even though it wasn't crowded. The quality of food has gone down, and prices are very high. Not recommended at all. Was it actually a busy evening? Because only 3 tables were accommodated. We wanted to give a final shot because the last time we ordered food from you, you sent us rotten sambal. Also, in your absence and lack of knowledge, your staff apologised because she said you don't have many people in the kitchen. It was just her and the hopper guy who were running the front of house and the kitchen (hence the delay). So before you come on here and defend your restaurant, please know what actually went on there in your absence. Its funny how you're turning tables on the customer and saying that I expected a refund. Secondly, didn't you say it was a busy evening? For a restaurant that's been very dry nowadays, it explains why. Did you also ask your staff to stalk me on social media and send me a request? So low! Also, what about the delivery driver who claimed that he was waiting for over an hour? And you said I was expecting to getting treated like I was the only one there? Oh yeah! Try that again lol
