in the last weekPopped in after taking my brother to see the little penguins and was looking forward to some authentic Sri Lankan food. Ordered the potato and lamb tacos and the chilli and black pepper prawns to start. Both were lacking in flavour and the prawns tasted more like a Western dish. We followed with the chicken curry and black pepper pork curry. Dishes looked impressive but both were so bland and watery with no discernible flavour. I thought my taste buds were playing tricks on me until the lady sitting on the table next to us asked us if we thought the food was any good, as she also thought it was pretty sub par. We were thinking about going for the mud crab special on the following Tuesday but thought better of it. Maybe we just caught the chef on a bad day?
