One of the best places to taste authentic Sri Lankan food!

I’m very disappointed with the pricing and quality of the food and drinks we purchased from Anthony Caterers at Garu Kathanayakathuma. They were the only food provider at the event, so there weren’t many alternatives available. We purchased a box of short eats for $20, which, in my opinion, was significantly overpriced for the quantity and value provided. It felt like we were paying almost twice what the food was reasonably worth. We also purchased two iced coffees at $8 each. Unfortunately, they were unbelievably sweet and we couldn’t drink them at all, so we had to throw them away. For a standard sized iced coffee, $8 is already quite expensive, especially when the drink isn’t enjoyable or drinkable. I understand that businesses have costs and need to make a profit, but when serving the Sri Lankan community at a community event, particularly when you are the only food provider, pricing should be fair and reasonable. Customers shouldn’t feel that they are being taken advantage of simply because there are no other food options available. It’s genuinely disappointing, and I hope Sri Lankan food businesses consider offering fairer prices and better quality, especially when catering to their own community.

Great food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and fantastic customer service. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!
